THE BITTER END

Wow. We’re both still in awe of the opportunity we had last night. John Platt invited us to perform for his monthly On Your Radar live concert series, which recently moved to the legendary NYC venue The Bitter End. The drive into Greenwich Village was stress-free (sometimes I freak out while driving in cities, but I think traffic was low since folks were still in holiday mode), and we found parking close to the venue. Got everything loaded in and sound check was straightforward.

As we were waiting backstage and watching Zoe’s performance, it began to dawn on me how important this space was and how momentous this occasion was going to be. Somehow I was not stressed about our looming performance, which included several new songs (new year, new album, new songs!).

Our set went so smoothly and Erin and I were both so happy to have had this chance to play on a world-renowned stage in front of an appreciative and attentive audience. After our final song, we went backstage again and just relished the moment.

It was an honor to perform beside amazing songwriters Joe Jencks & Zoe Mulford. What a way to kick off the year.
